Help with codecs

I'm trying to watch a .wmv video but it won't let me. It tells me that I need a MPGV codec. I've been searching online all day for it but can't find it.

So does anyone know where I may find it?

Then stop downloading videos with obscurer codecs on them! Check with Gspot make sure it is Mpgv because http://www.free-codecs.com/index.htm doesnt even list it.

Why would you be capturing of a dvd in a form you cant play? use normal methods like VOB or ISO then convert them to AVI

You can choose to rip it to WMV as well, plus you CAN use AVI video in WMM. I Do all the time.

Yeah windows movie maker takes almost everything apart from quicktime, freaks out on that.
