Honestly, I don't really like the new theatrical trailer. I know the stroy of 300 is pretty simple, but there was almost none of it there. All it showed was fighting and didn't really say why. Even the end say teh whole "a few fought against many" but that's it. I think if they would've added a scene saying that the Persians had a million warriors to teh Spartans 300 (hell, or even just showed the entire army, it would 've been much better.

So the "A thousand nations of the Persian Empire decend upon you, our arrows will blot out the sun" part didn't cover it?

Not really. I got the message that they are outmatched, but not by how much. I think that it would have beeter been conveyed by actually shpwing the entire Persian Army. My biggest gripe thogh wasn't really not knowing how outmatched they are, but just the overall lack of story in it. We don't know why they are fighting or anything, it was just a bunch of randomly placed cool shots. Although green did make a good point that this is technically just a teaser and the full trailer should flesh out the story more...

This is just the teaser. The movie doesnt come out till March. There will be more...

I like the trailer, however I don't know why they didn't include the shot of the fat guy with the long blade hands, it looks so cool. Anyway the effects look pretty good but some of them look they like they could still be improved a bit, the rhino scene looks awesome though. The shot of the persian king in his throne(I guess he's the persian king) looks majestic.

While I think the leaked trailer was still better (with the pacing, the narration, and the build-up), how awesome was it to see a non-blurry trailer?? The visuals look amazing and I am that much more psyched for the movie now!

Despite my usual hatred of slow-mo, I really liked this trailer, LOL. I guess it's because I despite the use of slow-mo to milk the audience's emotions, especially when it's done at a tragic moment. But here, the slow-mo is done out of sheer coolness, and I can buy that.

I read over the book at Border's (it's really very short) and I'm flabbergasted at how much the movie looks like the art. Yes, it's very CG'd, but I get that it's supposed to be stylized. Miller's art was obviously overdone in the name of style, and the movie takes it even further.

Now, if only I could get over the violence, then I'd be really amped up for it. I'm not really one for blood and gore...
