Hero Clix gets Upgraded

If you don't know what Hero Clix are then you are about to find out. If you do and you play the game then about to be amazed. Most of us who know what hero clix are have seen the old ones and we know that they were not pretty. But now hero clix have steped up there game and the look great. Also, now some characters have unique abilities that no one else can have. Sure, everyone might have a Leap and Climb but now there are actual abilities like "Nightwing and Star-Fire can use both Close Combat and Ranged Combat Expert". There are many others too. There are some that even add aditional damage for using Flurry. Now except for that the Clix come with their very own cards so now you don't have to pull out the book to see every ability. Now for those that don't know what a hero clix is or what hero clix is this is for you. Hero Clix is a RPG Board game that has been around for 6 years now. (last year was the 5 years anniversary) It uses difrrent characters from DC and Marvel Comics with their own skills power level and abilities to battle others. If you would like to start playing you can get hero clix guides maps cards and clix at your comic store. Some comic stores (like mine) have Hero Clic tournaments weekly. Now, can I ask, I've been collecting Heroclix since the first set (Infinity Challenge) thru the last set Arkham Asylum. You are aware Wizkids was shut down by Topps and as of right now there are no new sets being made. There are efforts to save Heroclix, either thru another maker ie Catylist or Wizards of the Coast, or by former Wizkids employees (Pineta games).
The next set if made would be Hammer of Thor, but right now the game it's self in on hold and has a uncurtain future.
My question I guess is what is the purpose of this thread? Is it to try and bring new people to the game or what?

It is to try to bring new people to the game and older ones to check out some of the new stuff.

If you're new to Heroclix, you may want to check out The Batman:Alpha HeroClix game. Much simpler rules, sort of on an introductory level, less figures to collect, about 30 in all. Each booster pack comes with one Batman figure, 3 random figures, a small map piece (there are two different maps) with the rules on the back, and two really small dice. I understand they were supposed to release a Wolverine:Alpha game, but with Wizkids' current situation, I don't know what will happen to it.
Oh, and you can use regular Clix figures with these rules, with some simple conversion rules.

Only 30? I'll just stick with Marvel Clix I don't follow much DC.

Well, it was only meant as a simple introductory game set, hence the relatively few figures. If you're only into Marvel, they may yet release the Wolverine:Alpha game. It depends on what Topps decides to do about Heroclix.

I typically just collect Marvel as well, most Avengers and Iron Man, but have several DC figures as well, some 300 in all.

My friend got a pack yesterday and got Green Scar! (Green Scar is a Rare Unique super hard to find.) I was jealous until I saw what was in mine. I got Ultimate Iron Man, Task Master, Pile Driver, Giant Man, and Dragon Man! (Task Master is a Unique and so is Iron Man. The rest of them were just crazy strong.)
