I'm leaving Sunday and coming to NYC with our band we're going to be in the veterans day parade. So this shall be fun. I've never been. I think we're staying in Manhattan.

Oh, so that's why all of those soldiers are marching down the street in front of my office every Veteran's Day.

And yes, more people will show up for a Yankee/Giants/insert-NY-sports-team victory parade than they will for a Veteran's Day parade.

We had one for the Giants not too long ago.

There's Forbidden Planet, down near Union Square, Jim Hanley's Universe on 33rd near 5th Ave, and Midtown Comics on 40th and Broadway.

I prefer Midtown Comics. I always forget about Hanley's, and I generally hate the area that the Forbidden Planet is in (as well as being irritated by the fact that their gaming section was taken over by Anime crap).
