Holy S--t! Where Did This Come From?

Ha, just noticed in the "behind-the-scenes" footage, there's a product placement so evident, I laughed at it. When Bond inserts a CD into a computer, in a surveillance room, you can clearly see it's a Blue-Ray DVD. Sony, Sony, Sony...

I love how Martin Cambell goes "THREE! TWO! ONE! ACTION!!!!!!1" and then start jumping around, while filming a fight scene  :D
It's like he wants to get into it :O
I love that guy.

One of the few action directors who can tell a good story and deliver some kick-ass fight sequences. Man, it must be so cool working with that dude. I just can't wait for that bathroom scene. Looks and "feels" so real!

Couldn't agree more

You know . . . you people seem to be forgetting about Campbell's last few movies.

Still that first link was awesome. I'm totally excited now.

Second link scared me.

Campbell's GoldenEye brought James Bond back from the ashes. The Mask of Zorro was clever. Its sequel was just pure fun. I haven't seen his past films so I can't judge. He doesn't rely on CGI to make good action pieces. It's my opinion and I'm sticking with it.

Sorry about that second link. ;)

I'm okay with a few products used here and there. It makes a movie credible. Using a product that has just been released in the market (since when can we buy Blu-ray discs to record our own stuff?), hated by a lot of people and unbeknownst to some, is rather frustrating.

On a side note, I can't even write "Blu-ray" correctly as you can see in one of my previous posts.

Damn, how many times does Craig use a computer in this movie? :)

Legend of Zorro and Vertical Limit were total crap. Vertical Limit had more CGI in it as well.

I hope Casino Royale proves me wrong, but as a director, I feel that Campbell peaked with Zorro.

Well, to each his own. I just think that with Casino Royale coming out, Campbell's career may open new doors. Every director learns from past mistakes and improves them with their next projects. The realism played into this film will garner mixed reviews from critics and fans alike. They'll say that Daniel Craig is no 007 because he acts so arrogant, etc. Maybe it won't. I know this is wishful thinking but I want every "hard-to-please" critic proclaim this as being the greatest Bond film in recent memory.

When hasn't Bond been arrogant?

I was just reading Moonraker, and Gala Branch as I recall pretty specifically called out Bond as being arrogant.

I meant in the movies. Sure, he does a few things that spark arrogance but nothing like in Casino Royale. Granted, I haven't seen the movie but by reading early reviews, I can honestly "say" that average movie-goers expecting a suave and sophisticated spy will be either surprised or dissapointed.
I just can't wait to see their faces when their expectations of a gun-barrel in the beginning of the film are shattered.
