I Heart Huckabees Drama

Its been on the news all week. And, based on what I've read on David Russell I'm not surprised!

Never watched this movie before, but wow. That was insane.

Clooney: "I Didn't Leak 'Huckabees' Footage"

George Clooney has issued a $1 million challenge to anyone who can prove he's behind the leak of internet outtakes of I Heart Huckabees. The footage, featuring actress Lily Tomlin and director Davd O. Russell screaming at one another, hit cyberspace late last week, and Clooney, who famously fell out with the moviemaker when they made Three Kings together, has been linked to the leak. But, in a statement released yesterday, the movie star wrote: "Contrary to popular opinion, neither the sound man, Ed Tise, nor yours truly sent in the David O. Russell tape. I saw it (footage) when we were working on Ocean's Twelve, and there have been quite a few copies traveling around town for the last couple of years. Any rumor that either of us put it on the internet is simply false." And Clooney is so keen to prove his innocence he's offering a huge reward if anyone can prove he was behind the leak. He adds, "(I will) offer a million bucks to anyone who would prove otherwise."

Never heard it until today. It's shocking to see this because you always read about on-set fights but never really see it.

Yeah i know!

Thanks.Thats the story i read too this morning on imdb. Can't imagine Clooney was the one who leaked it. Whoever did is in serious trouble.

Lol, that was some serious shait! I'm like that when I go apeshait!

Here's Lily Tomlin's reaction on the leaked videos.

Thanks. She doesn't seem that upset about the whole thing.

lol Really?:woot:

Apparently why tempers flaired was because Russell kept on changing things when they were shooting scenes. The incident in the car was an outpour of that fustration because they were sitting there for hours.

But it's not the first time this director has been involved in stuff like this as Road Warrior pointed out earlier.I read that George Clooney and him got in to a fight on the set of Three Kings. Reportedly Russell was under a lot of pressure to get the film done and one day yelled and cursed one of the extras.Clooney didn't like the way and told him that and the rest is history.:ninja:

LMAO! I love how in the first clip he walks around the set and comes back through the door, that gets me every time.

You also gotta feel bad for Dustin Hoffman in the second clip, he looks like a man who wishes he hadn't gotten up that day.

EDIT: I take that back, they both acted pretty childish, but it does seem like he has a longer recorded history of being a dick.

Are you kidding me?? What the **** is his problem??!!!!:down

He's not the only director who keeps trying different takes and angles. He's also not the only director to ever get angry on the set. Bryan Singer is said to have shouted while shooting the X-Men films. The difference between those guys and guys like Russell is crossing the line and acting like an *******.

I read an article somewhere that he was the worst director to work with (with Michael Bay, Michael Mann and James Cameron being runners up). Conversely, Spielberg and Ron Howard are supposed to be super-nice and easy to work with.

I don't feel bad for Hoffman. He also has his history of acting like a prick on the set.

Spielberg and Ron Howard are supposed to be super-nice and easy to work with.

And, Clint Eastwood as well.

Cameron made fun of his own 'temper problem' on a French & Saunders Titanic spoof. Hilarious.:woot:

My GOD!! What an a$$hole of a director!! Great that this leaked out, I hope he feels the heat and is embarrassed as hell now because that is no way to behave, especially to a woman. I'm shocked! Who in their right mind would want to work with an idiot like him now??!!

What an absolute d1ckhead!! It's actually funny watchiong him go "you're meant to be a grown up so act like one" when he's prouncing round like a fool kicking things and shouting!

I've been an extra on a few sets......that type of language is not that big of a deal....the cameramen and others sound like dock workers.....worse than dock workers actually.......most actors I've seen don't have much better mouths....lol

But as far as those 2 outtakes......WOW......

lol Really?:woot:
Yeah, but only when I'm really really pissed. I just go outside and hit the trees and throw stuff. (Once I hit my fist thru wall, but it was chalk-like wall so it's not a surprise.)

i've punched thru solid 4 inch thick glass, I didn't exactly get thru it but did get my knuckles thru, not my entire fist... yes i did start bleeding after that

and one time i got annoyed [note not angry but annoyed] enough that i bent in a steel locker at the gym with a fist cuz of this one girl i broke up with

LMAO! I loved Three Kings and now I will definitely see this movie.

No, the difference between guys like Bryan Singer and guys like Russell is that their footage isn't leaked. :cwink:

Comeon, most of these people (both actors and directors) have insanely high egoes...of course they are going to clash. You have ridiculously pampered actors and directors who think they are God's gift to cinema, what do you expect?

Ron Howard are supposed to be super-nice and easy to work with.

That doesn't suprise me. He has always seemed incredibly likable. I love his self-paradoying cameos on The Simpsons.

Really?! I work in the news business. I'm a camera operator for my local NBC news station and it has NEVER gotten as bad as that leaked footage. As for the language...people curse and s--t...but nothing that'll make them seem like dock workers. Oh well!

that woman is insane...

shes an actress.. shes lucky to get a job lol...

The show I worked on would actually be considered a Christian type of show.....and it was bad.....now was it the "f" word every other word like what we see here.....no ..... but it is certainly not something unheard of in the TV and movie industry.....I'm sure it has its degrees....I can only speak of my experience....
