If WB ever decides to make another SD movie{if WB is the money ****es I think they are I wouldn't put past them:csad: } they should make it alot darker, like Scooby Doo On Zombie Island. And make it get a PG13:csad:

Are you serious?
That's just sad.
Scooby Doo was never dark, it has always been lighthearted, including Zombie Island.
I would like those writers to write a live action movie if they haven't written the 1st 2 movies.

But I have to ask this question:
What exactly do people expect from a Scooby Doo movie?

I think I remember the scene you're talking about but yes, it's a lighthearted dark humor.

Well, I think if they got rid of all those stupid fart jokes and Scrappy Doo then the 2002 movie might be a tiny bit better.

Yeah, I agree I hated what they did with Scrappy but I liked the flashback with him.:p

I know this is a comicbook board, and, "It should be a lot darker," is the most commonly typed sentence, but come on.....Scooby Doo?

Well, I would expect a talking Great Dane, for one.

Come to think of it, IMO they should have set the movies in the time period in which the character was created to start with: the late 1960s/early 1970s. At least then half the people who observe this talking Great Dane muttering would probably just brush it off as a bad LSD trip. :oldrazz:

You know, I've always thought that Blue's Clues should be a lot darker. :batty:
:cmad:

The problem with the Scooby Doo movie was that it tried to send the series up. If they had just straight out translated the series into a movie, it would have worked.

If I had my way Scooby Doo would be a hell hound summond from a demonic ritual that can eat souls!:cmad:

Scooby-Doo isn't dark. It never was! The reason the movie adaptation sucked was because the filmmakers didn't understand the humor. I mean, yes, we all know about the drug references but if you pay attention to an episode of the original series from 1969 you'll realize that there is A LOT of jokes that completely went over your head when you were a child. The filmmakers simply didn't capture that. Plus, the drug humor was too obvious! Believe it or not, but the drug references weren't always THAT obvious! Again, go back and watch an episode of the original series and you'll discover a lot of jokes that just went over your head.

When I become big I'm gonna make a movie based on What a Knight For A Knight, explaining how they came to be etc.

it'll be cool

I actually enjoyed the first one when i was younger, dont know how it holds up now.

I have both of them on DVD for some reason

I enjoy watching them.

But if they held a candle up to the original series the candle'd melt. I own the first five episodes ever aired, too...they are fabtastic

Scooby Doo could be a good movie, but that ain't gonna happen.
