How did they make Vinnie Jones look so big?

I just read on IMDB that he's only 6'2(same as Jackman) and they had press pictures of him, and he looked really skinny. He was probably wearing platform shoes but How the f*** did he get so muscular?

We got a Juggernaut who is almost a foot shorter than Sabretooth, and barely taller than Wolverine. So disappointing.

What I really don't understand, though, is that Juggernaut's role was entirely two-dimensional, just the big dumb strong guy. So I don't get the need for casting a "real" actor for the role, and going through the trouble of making a muscle suit for him.

Casting someone like Nathan Jones (http://imdb.com/name/nm0428923/) would've been much better, as well as cheaper for FOX.

It was Matthew Vaughn's idea to cast Vinnie Jones.If i'm not mistaken he thought it would be great for Patrick Stewart to have this English thug of a brother. But the Xavier-Cain Marko relationship was cut from the script when Ratner joined.
