How do I make rain in PhotoShop?

I found this site online.

But when I do this it ends up being way too blurry. It messes up my entire backround pretty much.

How do I fix it or is there another way?
Please help and thanks.

Its probably a little hard to tell you whats wrong without seeing the image.

Are you making the rain on a new layer?

Try decreasing the opacity of the rain more...

Post the image.

I'm drawing a picture. Right now I'm just messing around with ways I want the backround to be. I won't use the exact image you see. I made it pretty fast. Once the picture is done I'll make a new backround. The really light blue part around the lightning will not be on it.

Here it is. I messed with the little option things in the layer panel until I got this rain. It looks better than before but what do you think?

I don't even know if it will be this big.

you can try with brushes i have here one .abr file that comes with 5-6 difrent rain drops. I used it here if you like the result i can send you the file

Not to sure, maybe make the shape with the polygonal lasso tool, then make a lensflare right at the tip thats coming down, try, it might look cool

no i don't mean one rain drop and you have to hit the button 1000 times it puts a lot, there 6 types (i think) with difrent shapes from small like the one in the poster that you posted to really big

well ya it could work it doesn't metter if its small you just make the drops small also

Here's how it turned out.

I found a great site that told a quick easy way to do rain. Took awhile to find but I found it.
