How do I play avi files?

Okay so I downloaded some stuff that is avi...now how do I play it? If I try i nwindows media player I just get audio...

Then you're missing a video codec if you're only getting the sound.

Get VCL media player and most of the time it plays all vids

lol no it's not that I'm lazy I just don't know anything about computers so I would have no idea wha tI would be looking for.

For .avi, download DivX here. It'll install and you'll be able to watch yer movies.

VLC is a good player, but it's just not my cup of tea. Unless someone's found a way to have a navigation bar when it's full screen. And downloading DivX will let you watch in Windows Media Player.

VLC has a nav bar available when in full screen mode.
