How do you want the transformation from Banner to Hulk, to look?

Reactions to the transformation shouldn't be: "Yay, he's becoming the Hulk!"

It should be: "Holy sh-t! I don't know if I can watch this."

I want his transformation to be totally stylized... Much like the imagery David Fincher did in Fight Club. I'd like to see a zoom in of parts of his body in slow-mo for a few seconds, then shift fast forward to another body part, going back to slow-mo for a few more seconds... And so on.

This way, it gives you (the viewer) a glance at what happens with the transformation step by step. This could be the first transformation, and later, it could be done differently.

I want the transformation to show the battle for control. When Bruce is transforming he is screaming and pleading Hulk not to come, his screams become roars as Hulk starts to takeover but Bruce tries to fight it and so on but Hulk is too strong for Banner.

I personally would love to see it be like the first Underworld movie when Michael first started to transform.

I didnt have a problem with the A.L. transformations

ive been a hulk fan since i was a kid. i loved the bill bixby version of the hulk. i think norton was also a fan and i have a feeling parts of this movie will be related in a sense. i also think the transformation should have those creepy white eyes as the transformation begins. that was the part where everybody knew all hell was about to break loose. i liked ang's hulk scenes, but it looked like bana was constipated and blowing up like a balloon.

I couldn't agree more. It looked like Bana has bad Mexican the night before.

The transformation from Bruce Banner to the Hulk should look really painful & make you want to go "OH MY GOD! This looks too scary to watch!"

Should it really be that scary? Isn't that more like Ghost Riders thing? Of course hulk has that Jekyll and Hyde horror aspect... but I don't think it should be so much scary as just somewhat thrilling.

I'm not saying it should be horror movie scary, it should look really painful.

Why not a horror movie approach? Stan Lee and Jack Kirby was inspired by both Frankenstein and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde when they created the Hulk. Let it stay true to the original thinking.

It seems so,
the baseline says: The Hulk Copyright 2003 Universal Pictures (Unfinished project)

Here's the pic for the lazy ones :o

that wasnt for Ang's movie, it was for a Hulk movie Universal was going to make in the mid 90's with the guy who directed the Punisher, its a good thing that they didnt go through with it, its was a HORRIBLE script.

I've never heard of this. How were they going to do The Hulk? Use that sculpture somehow or what?

no, they arent using that in the new movie, if you are talking about the old one, i think its was going to be man in suit/ robotics/ other stuff.

Yes, the old one, I've never heard that it was in the making in the 90's. So that sculpture was going to be used as Hulk stand-in or something?

nope, it was just a model i think, like to show the people that Hulk will be this tall and look like this

Alright. About the topic; maybe the horror movie approach on the transformation is at order after all. I remember the TV series's transformation was horrorish, with thunder and lightning in some episode(the first?). And a nod to Frankenstein and Jekyll&Hyde, to whom the Hulk is inspired from.

Uh, I don't know if your brain is corrupt or not but the TV series' transformation was awesome.

Something close to the Werewolf scene in Michael Jackson's thriller. seriously atleast one scene. I want to be somewhat freaked out about the transformation.

I think none of us can read, lol

The thread is
"Re: How to you want the transformation from Hulk to Banner, to look?"

Not from Banner to Hulk....

(but maybe the question is just poorly written "how to you" :cwink:
