Do uncomfortable silences bother you so much that you have to keep the conversation going? Any subject brought up MUST have your opinion? Some guy here at work attempted to tell me in secrecy that another coworker we both know talks way too damn much, as in, "he talks just to hear himself talk." My mom feels my dad and I are both quiet, as we both can sit with each other watching a game or something and not say **** for hours until something significant happens. I've always been more of the "actions speak louder than words" type, where I may interject a sarcastic remark or a decision about something, but won't go all into detail.

Depends on the people I'm talking to, but I can very talkative.

I could talk someones ear off if I really wanted to, but I know how much non-stop talkers annoy me, not to mention talking isn't all too important for me personally.

I always try to keep a conversation going, even if it means being totally random. Awkward silences bother me.

I ask people questions about themselves, and comment on what they say. Generally, people like it.

Not to mention, I'm generally interested in nearly everybody that doesn't creep me out.

So that would mean the entire populous.

Yep, because those that creep me out aren't really included in the populous.

I don't have a stereo in my car, so I'm forced to make small talk.

The men in our family aren't big talkers. My dad is a great storyteller, but my brother and I don't talk unless we have to.
I'm not at good talker... I suck at it.

awkward silences actually don't really bother me . . . must be the stoic Indian in me  but generally, I find it's better to keep a conversation going when it's just me and one other person because they tend to get uncomfortable . . . so that's what I do

and I'm kind of the class clown of the office . . . so I tend to talk a lot; maybe too much . . . I know when to stop, but most of the time people encourage me *shrug*

lol . . . the less talkative people pry arent' posting in this thread . . . it's just us motormouths :O

For the most part im fairly quite unless I have something worthwhile to say. I think it's because the majority likes to A: Talk **** about others, B:Talk about pretty much nothing(boring), C: Talk out of their ass with random humour only a middle schooler would find funny.

I have a hard time finding intellectuals, I like to talk about real life topics(which includes fiction based things like movies). I always found that new "cool" were everyone talks out of their ass and acts random like the family guy show too be stupid and trivial.

Uncomfortable silence bothers me even though I not a big talker and usually enjoy some peace and quiet.
But when somebody says something just to start a conversation it's often very pointless.
"..."
"Oh, it's raining!"
"Yes, thank you... I can see that."

What really annoys me are people who talk just for the sake of talking, and don't even care what they say
as long as their jaws keep moving and sounds come out of their mouths.

I'm talkative if I am with others. I prefer not to be around people who are dead fish, and just sit there.

I don't mind comfortable silences, but awkward ones suck. I love to talk.

Couldn't agree with you more! It shows peoples low self esteem or lack of inteligence that can't hang with silences. A good number of people feel that they are stupid if they don't have anything to say or talk about. I actually find it funner to sit back and observe at times for certain conversations.

I can be a super chatter, mostly when I'm lit up.
I can also be super quiet, when at work, unless someone really pisses me off or I just can't let someone's ignorance go without chirping in. Today was really hard, I didn't sit outside at break time so all I heard was all the racists bull**** about immigration. :cmad:
I sat in my jeep during lunch.

I am a chatty cathy to some, & a listener to others, but most of the time I prefer to be quiet.

i cant for the life of me see how people can bring out the most random things and have a conversation about it. it actually gets on my nerves a lot. i wont bother try to strike up a conversation if there is nothing significant to say.

wut i do envy though is people that are so witty that they can crack a joke the very second the opportunity comes up. blasted funny people.... :cmad:

yeah . . . that shyt makes me mad!!! Especially when most of those dipshyts that talk all that shyt will happily go and eat at a sit down restaurant w/ nothing but Mexicans in the kitchen, and bussing tables, but all of a sudden they turn a blind eye and a cheap meal

I feel the same way. I have never understood the reasoning behind strangers feeling the need to spew their crappy day out at me. One of these days I am going to snap!:cmad:
