His first tweet reads, “Landing in Sydney in twelve hours. The Wolverine press tour begins. I thought it would be cool to start the tour where the film was made.”

The canny X-man, Hugh Jackman, jets in

HUGH Jackman is the latest celebrity to join the Twitter craze.

The spunky star flew into Sydney yesterday to begin promoting action blockbuster X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

But unlike most media-sensitive actors, Jackman made fans aware of his moves by posting his whereabouts on the social networking service.

His first tweet read: "Landing in Sydney in 12 hours. The Wolverine press tour begins. I thought it would be cool to start the tour where the film was made."

Fans hurried to Sydney airport to get a glimpse of the "sexiest man alive".
After arriving Down Under, the do-gooder star wasted no time and visited Sydney Children's Hospital with a goodie bag in tow to give to young patients.

Jackman then continued tweeting on his page, RealHughJackman: "Having lunch on the harbour across from the Opera Centre. Loving life!"

The 40-year-old actor later checked out a helicopter to prepare to make a grand entrance for the Sydney premiere of Wolverine.
