Last September... an old friend and I tied the knot, and I've been super happy ever since.

I kept it a low profile with only a select few on the Hype knowing about it.

After 12 years of misery being with thesonofbat's Mom (god, she's still such a b1tch), I'm at the other end of the happy stick and life has never been better. My wife is truly a wonderful partner.

The only sad part is that I only get to see thesonofbat 20% of the time and he lives 100 miles away.

She was an old friend, so there really wasn't any "getting to know" one another, because we had been such good friends for 10 years. She had come out of a long term realtionship as well, so we just fell into each others arms.

I see him more than most Dad's get their kids, but I wish I had him all the time. I get him 3 out 4 weekends, a week at March break, a week at X-mas, and 5 weeks during the summer.

The bad part is that I have to drive 100 miles to get him, then drive 100 miles back. And less than 48 hours later, I have to drive 100 miles to return him home, then drive 100 miles to get back to my house. It's extremely tiresome... but I do it because I love him so.

He'll be turning 8 in October.
