Drakon said that it's upgrades or maintenance. And instead of the Hype being down for a week or so, it's broken up per weekend. Drakon said he might move the update for next weekend earlier to take into account the swarm of fans who want to talk about Spidey.

I don't think that his decision to leave the Hype has anything to do with the Deathmatch. I wish he won't leave because he IS a good poster.

That's right. My main reason for leaving is I just don't have fun here anymore. I don't particularly like anyone here anymore. And rather than become a zer00/kritic/whoever type of poster, I'd rather just leave.

But in any case, congratulations for the win jag. This all may be just a trivial contest, but it's actually pretty damn hard to remain consistantly popular on the Hype, so good for you.

Chris, take care of what's important in life first and foremost. This place is supposed to be fun but it's easy to get burned out on it, too. I'm mostly here when work is slow and I'm bored or while I'm stuck on horribly yawn-worthy conference calls. But I never let things slip and I pay all the attention I should be and need to be to my personal life and my working life. The Hype is just gravy on top, but it's also the first thing to go when I've got other things going on.
