Hypesters who live, love, play Pokemon GO

I'm still waiting on the first fatality to occur because of this game, whether it's falling off a cliff or getting hit by a car.

I've noticed a large number of people playing while i'm out catching Pokémon. I met up with a couple at a Gym and we captured another Gym together. It's definitely a unique experience that gets people out of the house.

I just want to see people obviously playing it.

it's a cool experience if you grew up with the games or shows. But I think right now it's more of a cool concept than anything. If you're not a fan of the franchise, then the answer is no. I'd rather have a GTA or skyrim-esque pokemon game. How that hasn't happened yet is beyond me.

Yes, you are.

Anyone in this thread not named Victarion or tacit-ronin is a member of the LDAR crew and doesn't know what they're talking about.

edit - or a canook

Meh. I got it and since I don't have an internet plan then it's kind of useless.

How? It's not available in Canada yet.

I dunno.

I just googled it, downloaded it to my phone and caught a bulbasaur.

There's various other pokemon in my area too.

Does it really matter, if you haven't been interested at all leading up to the phenomenon?

It does allow you to chance upon dead bodies. So, there's that.

My girlfriend mentioned to me via text she was busy playing it last night, and I have never in my life heard her mention the franchise. I thought I knew what a charmander was before she ever would and I don't even like the ****.

As a 90s kid it's surreal seeing this resurgence almost overnight. I had friends who never stopped playing Pokemon (even when it went out of style) and they're flabbergasted as well. For a good decade it was looked down upon in the general public to be seen as a fan.
