So looking at Marvel's 1st Quarter Profits for this year I see that the Toys part of it is at 26.6 Million Dollars. While at this time last year it was at 10.4 million dollars.

Wow, It's up about %250.....why not hold onto this puppy?

This is what makes me think that we're gonna get some good stuff from the Hasbro deal. HAsbro must've made a sweet deal in order to make this kind of profit so they must have had to assure Marvel that what figures and other toys they have in store are just as good if not better.

Think about it, why's Marvel gonna throw that cash cow away??? Hasbro must've had some preliminary stuff to coax Marvel into it. The stuff has gotta be atleast comparable.

**** marshmellows then, get the beer. Maybe it would be funnier if you built the fire after drinking some first. just don't end up like those guys from florida.

Yeah, I'd rather cook some fajitas anyway. And don't worry, aslong as the fireworks are farther than I can reach we'll be fine.

    your probably correct..

i know in the media buisness like cartoons and movies, ideas have to be pitched... for shows as well as media... and im sure they do the same for toys.

proto-types and designs would have to be made and pitched to toy biz, in order for toybiz to seal the deal.

it wouldnt surprise me if hasbro guaranteed the 2 major design houses (forgot there names) who do much of the sculpting design for the ML figures... to work for them as well... and hasbro i know definately has the ability to make them more mass market. hopefully the mass marketing alone wasnt what sold toybiz.. because if so were doomed!...

one thing ive really wanted to hear is a report from jesse falcon... ive heard nothing from him after the news of this. Id really like to hear his feelings on it and his expectations. Jesse lived and breathed marvel legends... and im surprised enough as is that hes not going to hasbro...

At first they said Hasbro was just gonna do the shipping and manufacturing of Marvel Stuff, while Jesse and crew still did the planning and designing.

Then it was said that Hasbro got everything but was hiring Jesse and Crew to head up the Marvel section.

Jesse and crew have not gotten any jobs. Hasbro is doing the whole Enchelada.

The only upside I can find for Marvel is that they do absolutely no work now and still get money just for letting Hasbro use thier characters. That and Free advertizing.

I don;t know. It's a damn ass Shame too cause I really wanted to see ToyBiz's Ghost Rider toy line (Though for that I blame Former TB president Avi Arad for pushing back GR til Feb 07, if it was out this summer the first wave would be touching down right around now)

Hasbro = the end of Marvel toys. I hate Hasbo Knee joints. They are weird round things......I thought that's just what they needed to do with the small scale of SW figs, but they did it on 8 inch GIjoe stuff too.

Hasbro is gonna kill the Marvel Licenses guys. Accept it.

Are we sure that it's Hasbro on the production and design? I was under the impression (maybe through wishful thinking) that Hasbro was just taking over distribution.

    Poor Jesse Falcon.

DCD would be wise to hire this man.
