umm we're not getting them A) Because they look like crap for any one who ever collected real action-figures and B) because were getting in scale, non action featured, and better detailed movie ones.. so why buy both?

I also can't believe people are *****ing about the Hellboy figure. It looks great, exactly like he did in the movie. Like I say, some people are never, ever happy. It's just the way it is.

Well.. the figures are actually decent. They are just 5 inches which sucks.

Hasbro could have easily done these same figures in a six inch scale with the action features to impress the little kiddies. and then The collecters could still get the 6 inch versions of them. And then focus the collectors line on the comic figures.

im not crying about it, just stating my opinion, im perfectly content because we're still getting the good 6inch figs. it's blatently obvious you don't collect alot of figures. and i guess you never saw the real hellboy movie line or the ones based off the comic... those were far superior to the POc (piece of crap) we saw in that promo shot.. his arm is friggin skinny. his face is good though, but that arm looks very akward.

so next time think before you talk, im very happy... because i don't have to get this crap, and im still getting what i want.

ive taken good looks at the spidey 3 toys.. and all but venom came off very shoddy, i don't think the facial scults are that good, the plastic looks even shinier then the hasbro legends, and they look just plane cheap. i havent seen one decent sandman figure, they all look like happy meal toys, plane and simple.

I actually have a 12 inch sideshow Hellboy, all the Mez itz and some of the comic figures, and pre ordered these new figures (the animated line). I'm also pretty sure the Mezco movie figures were nowhere near as articulated as this new movie figure.

but anywho... if articulation sacrafices sculpt in a big way rather then making a good balance (like legends do)... which imo (as is others as well) this does. then ya... plus i really can't see how any true fig collector could say the spidey movie figs are actually good.. unless they simply don't have taste and just buy figs like crazy and consider everything good. Because these figures are uncompareable to legends, and the past spidey movie figs. I even showed them to my non-figure collecting friends and they thought they looked like crap.. the general consensous is infact that there crap... and its more then scale reasons

no... but majority does rule.. and what seems to be the majority on this board of harcore and experienced collectors.. is that these figs suck. add to that unless there restocking these figures ever 2 seconds.. there not selling out or even close to anywhere.

god... i hate that type. I might get that way at times with figs.. but comics.. no, never... i even enjoyed "sins past", but figs.. when a line sets a standard, like marvel legends and toybiz's movie lines did... i expect that quality in return... not happy meal toys

I never said they were great collectables, I said they were great toys.

And that they are. However, in a bit of irony, they seem to be made out of better materials so they will probably stick around longer.

I also think it makes sense to bring them down an inch- it saves them money, it saves me space. And perhaps it's just my imagination, but we're getting a ton more accessories with the figures and I dig that. It's also a completely new line. If ML are scaled down I could see more room for complaint, but it's a self contained movie toyline. Weren't a lot of collectors asking for self contained movie lines anyway?

This seems to be part of phasing that in, as I believe we will be getting those 6 inch, highly articulated action featureless S3 figures, right? Wait, let me guess, why double up?

Would you really want 10 different 6 inch tall spiderman figures with action features on the shelves? I know I wouldn't. Like I said before, the line clearly knows what it wants to be, it wants to be A TOY LINE- and it frickin rocks!

It's like the Zizzle Pirates of the Carribean toys vs the NECA POTC figures. It's the same thing, except the same company is making both of them. The toys and the collectables.

but its not just that.. alot are complaining cuz they thought this is all were were gettting.. and as of now, it is the same crap were getting with fantastic 4.. and thats what scares me more, i wanted a 6inch surfer, doom, and maybe better versions of the 4

I'll admit that the change in scale is interesting to say the least, especially with Hasbro pushing line compatability with so many of their other properties(see titanium and the galactic heroes, SH squad lines).

But I don't care much. I'd probably buy a black costume Spiderman and a Venom and not much else, and I'm sure we'll get a Sandman, a Goblin, and yet another red costume Spiderman. This isn't really enough for a line though, so it will probably be padded out with more characters I don't want and don't care about, or worse, more versions of characters we already have 10 of.

See, you say you're hoping for more versions of the 4, and I've got to ask, why? I don't really see them improving much, not in any way you would want, anyway. Sculpt and articulation were fairly decent, it was the paint and consistency of the product quality that needed some attention. You want a 6 inch surfer? We already have one. We're getting the same one again in a new box. Do you really think a "movie" version of this figure in a 6 inch scale would differ so much? It's the same exact design of the character, a silver naked man on a surf board. The only new Surfer I want to see is one done up in chrome.

well the 4 i could care less about (though would like a better johnny) and maybe a more poseable thing.... but Doom in his new costume, and a movie surfer (hopefully chrome) would be kick ass... and there is a dif, not much of one, but enough
