Cool. The colors will make it or break it though.
...but misleading title.
How long did that take?
Indeed. Looks pretty cool.Just an hour. My artist is awesome.
I'll leave that for you to figure out.How is it misleading?
Black and gray might seem a bit dull, to me at least. As for color, that's up to you. I personally would at least avoid "solid coloring".Also, what would you people recommend color wise? I couldn't decide, that's why I just got the outline. I'm thinking of just doing it black and gray with a little bit of red, like on the tail feathers or something. Or just doing the whole bird in color. I don't know yet.

Is that a phoenix?
If so shouldn't it be mostly red?
Is this your back, your thigh, your arm, or what?
I'll leave that for you to figure out.

I think your tattoo would look awesome with a mix of bright colors and some nice shading to add some 3-d pop to it.
I've been told that it will hurt less the more you do it.
...oh. Nevermind, I just read the first post
Yeah, I wasn't planning on doing it solid. In the original picture its based on, it was done in black and gray and it looked great. I'm still undecided though.
There's at least ten different threads about tattoos, anyone that uses a wee bit of the search button can find that. But I forgot, this is about show casing YOUR tattoo instead of making a humble little post that is mere drop in the bucket.
Duh, you clearly get it, so why are you complaining?
