Yeah, it's a bit old at this point, but I searched the forums and noticed that IKG doesn't have any threads. That to me is a crime. So here we are. Let me first say I Kill Giants is one of my favorite comic stories of all time and everyone should read it, including you. Yes, you.

Now that that's out of the way: I was searching for an IKG thread in the first place because I just read an article about it on one of CBR's blogs. It's written by a woman, Kelly Thompson, and it comes at IKG from a decidedly feminine perspective, which I'd never really thought about before. Rather than just singing IKG's praises again, the writer raises the point that IKG is a rather feminist book, at least by comic book standards.

If you've got some time to kill, give it a read; I found it very interesting and will certainly be thinking about Thompson's points when I inevitably read IKG again (for the FOURTH time :awesome:).

Google, Coveleski's impact on Giant's faces.

I was planning to read it whenever it first came out, but my shop didn't order any. I still plan to pick up the trade soon.

Do it. I think it's fast on its way to becoming my actual favorite comic story ever. I mean, I cried two of the three times I read it. That's gotta mean something (other than the fact that I'm a big ol' softy).

It's been one of those things I've been watching for deals on ebay and Amazon but nothing has popped up of note. So, I'll probably end up ordering it through my shop soon

I read it for the second time the other day and loved it even more than the first. I also convinced my fiance to read it, someone who is embarrased that I read comics in public :p and she thought it was brilliant.

IKG is definitely a great break-in point for people who don't really like comics or superheroes.

You SHOULD be ashamed of yourself. Keep comics in the home, where they belong.

Seriously though, it is a great book. :)

The book started abit slow but at chapter 7 it was nothing but tears.... Manly tears. =*( We're stronger now!

Yeah, I was thinking about IKG again the other day. It occurred to me that it's not really the emotion of the story that gets me (although that certainly is done well in the comic), it's the beauty of the message. I love this comic more every time I read it.

Thanks for the link to the article :) Makes me want to break my trade out again to reread now! Such a great book!
