I miss...

And Dumb and Dumber, pretty much the main three Jim Carrey comedies became cartoons.

I miss after school cartoons and Saturday/Sunday morning cartoons.

Mary Kate and Ashley already had an animated series. It's called the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy. They double-casted the role of Gollum just like they did Michelle Tanner in 'Full House.' :o

Men in Black animated Series... Beetlejuice animated Series.. The Mask animated series..Bill & Ted animated series.. Jumanji the animated series... seemed to be the big thing to do in the 90's. :p

The best ones were probably The Real Ghostbusters and Beetlejuice. For every good one, there were about 10 crappy ones. It's amazing how much extra cash they had to throw around in the 90's that they were able to make a Free Willy animated series.

It's a shame the trend didn't last long enough to give us a Requiem For a Dream: The Animated Series.

How insane would a Mad Max animated series be? Seriously tho

I'd want that injected straight into my veins.

Well, they tried. But there's been a few cartoons that didn't make it past the test pilot for whatever reason :(

Schindler's List: The Animated Series

To Catch a Predator: The Animated Series

American Sniper: The Animated Series

Brokeback Mountain: The Animated Series

Django: The Animated Series

Seems appropriate to post this...

I do miss all the usage of inapropriate R-rated films to be the basis of toys and cartoons. I also miss the old school toy commercial cartoons. Forget Transformers and GI Joe, I loved Dino Riders and Wheeled Warriors.

Well now it's the opposite?

GI Joe? Give it a live action movie!
Transformers? Give it a live action movie!
TMNT? Give it a live action movie!
Comic books? Give em a live action movie!
Video games? Give em a live action movie!
Boardgames? Give em a live action movie!
Jem and the Holograms? Nah. let's do something else and use the name.

You forgot my personal favorite, Catfish: The Animated Series.

I vaguely remember the Godzilla animated show that effectively sequel-ed the movie being somewhat decent. But I was a child, so what did I know? :o

But I was a child, so what did I know? :o

That's the thing. I've gone back and watched so many things that I was nuts about as kid, and a lot of the times it's just like ugggggh. I think, like, BTAS is one of the few things that was aimed at kids that I loved and still love to this day. That and most of Disney's stuff.

When I was a kid, I did always think a Jurassic Park animated series would be cool.

Some toon shows translate better. I reckon everything cartoon in the 90s was pure classic sickness. I loved anything on Saturday mornings, Sunday was a bonus.

Masters of the Universe both old and new.
80's G.I. Joe
Thundercats both old and new
Silverhawks
80's Transformers
BTAS & STAS & Justice League.
Lois & Clark
