Native American's like rap?

Well I'll be damned.

Well, anyone can like rap, it isn't just blacks and suburban white posers.

Yeah, why would that be a suprise? We ARE real people, not Vampires or Leprachauns or some made up creatures like this country likes to portray us...

Dude, it's like a Black guy riding a horse.

It's not that it can't happen it's just that it almost never does.

This sounds like a setup for an SNL skit.

Dude, I dont wanna turn this into a race issue but you should broaden your horizons, Their have been natives in Hip Hop forever, 1 of the Black Eyed Peas is a Native American. Their just hasnt been that one breakout star to take Natives into the spotlight, and that's with anything really from sports, music, movies and everything else. Natives truly are a forgotten people in this country. Their is a HUGE underground hip hop scene filled with Natives across North America. But check out the music and maybe you might like it...

On the soundtrack for the American Indian film "Smoke Signals", there's some Indian music, just drums and chanting, but it sounds just like the best of Led Zeppelin, that pentatonic stuff comes off bluesy and it was haunting and wicked just like When the Levee Breaks or the Immigrant Song, etc.

Forgot to buy it, I am reminded.

Wow,I didn't know there was a Native American Music Awards. You learn something new everyday.

Congratz on the nomination and good luck for the win:)

DUDE! I love Drunken Madness. That's a wicked riff.

But Anything You Want sucks. :(
I see the Native American Music Awards are no different from all the other music awards.

Check out Indigenous if you ever get a chance. Nakota Sioux bluesmen with a lot of soul and some major chops from Mato on guitar. I've got a live bootleg of them doing a cover of "Red House" that's just amazing. Highly recommend these guys.
