Home sharing in iTunes only works if the computers are on the same wi-fi or ethernet network.

Not sure if it would work or not, but Hamachi allows you to trick computers into thinking they're on the same private LAN.

I'm tempted to try this, but I don't like the idea of having to setup an account with them.
