What? moving away from Wilhelm....

basically it says man complained about some cops and one day they came back and talked to him. He has a home security sytem that caught the whole thing on tape and he took the tape to the station (where they work) and he got arrested for illegal wiretap because the police did nto consent to being taped. He does have a sign saying he has home surveilence.

Instead you spent triple the amount of time thinking of a post then typing it and finally clicking submit.

well if he has a sign then there is nothing wrong .

Yeah people have a right to security systems.

Then why was he arrested and charged? Why is he going to court?

Cause the cops are jealous of his mad skillz.

I find this disturbing. It sends a message that cops do what they want. It also says thieves can sue for not consenting to being taped. All those businesses taping should be shut down.

Wait, there's a tiny camera in my lobby. The lobby is videotaped 24 hours a day. And cops come into the lobby all the time.
Am I in danger?

I dont know about you guys but This has the makings of a straight to video movie , where a town is controlled by crooked cops , and only one man can stop it,I nominate Jean Claud Van Dame or Chuck Norris for that role.

It will be interesting to see how it turns out. He had posted signs that stated the premises was under surveillance, so he may have a case. The cops obviously don't want him to get one over on them and are doing what they can to use this against him. They may also want to cover up some bad behavior by the detectives and are looking to squash his tape before it's ever made public.

This could happen anywhere, Location is not the issue. Makes me wonder what other things cops do and get away with. Watch your ass this could be you one day.

trust me I know for a fact they get away with alot, my uncle is a cop (a major general to be exact) and he is as crooked as they come. I mean he drives around in a ferrari and there is no ways he can afford that with his salary, I mean even my mom thinks he is crooked. :(

Heres the reason for the thread. Im a conspiracy believing guy ill just throw that out there now but whos to say the FBI, CIA, Fedaral government etc etc dont have the same type of practices? Alot of people seem to think thats its so very hard for big orginizations to be crooked and cover things up. This makes it one step closer to being proved that it can and does happen. IMO of course.
