anything from Heath Ledger as the joker. that performance is iconic
Avengers assembling

Captain America giving the speech over the PA to the Triskelion

I just watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier and even though it was shown months before, the scene of him in the elevator is one my favorites.

Superman '78 and Batman '89 are the most iconic comic book movies. So much memorable imagery, moments and performances.

I would also say TMNT (1990), Watchmen (2009) and The Crow (1994).

Really TMNT? What iconic scenes are in that?

The kid with the cigarette maybe

The Foot ambushing Raphael and the fight with Shredder at the end I think can be considered iconic. Especially for the Turtles property. Actually there's a lot of good scenes in that movie. I'll have to watch it again.

Definitely! And that mystical meditation scene around the camp fire.

And how could I forget:
"Oh I get it, you're claustrophobic!"
"I've never even looked at another guy!"

If that's not some iconic comedy I don't know what is.

This scene from Captain America The First Avenger:

It's a fantastic image that captures the archetypal dichotomy between Cap and the Red Skull. Add to that fact that in the movie they're both products of Dr. Albert Erskine's work in creating a Super Soldier, and the parallels are even stronger. I know some people like to rag on Joe Johnston's direction of the first movie, but the guy has to be given credit for capturing the iconography of a character like Captain America in scenes like this.

I think that the way Red Skull was written made that scene weaker. I liked Joe Johnson's direction, but the 2nd half of the movie wasn't near as good as the first one.

89 Batman. The batlight turns on. That iconic theme starts to build as the camera pans up. Then you see Batman, cape billowing. It's fantastic.

The scene in the cave is one of my favorite CBM moments ever. It symbolizes Bruce's journey of coming full circle. He not only overcomes his fear, he embraces it and uses it against the criminals he fights against. It's one of the reasons why I think Batman Begins is superior to The Dark Knight.

As for second scene, it's Christopher Reeve, the perfect actor playing Superman. Not much else needs to be said. :yay:

Really TMNT? What iconic scenes are in that?

The introduction to the turtles, Shredder and Casey Jones.. especially all the scenes straight out of the comic. The final fight with Shredder as already mentioned. The telling of the origin.

Is one of my favourite of the MCU one but I agree. The second half felt so rushed.

I wouldn't call any of those iconic. People wouldn't generally be familiar with them to the point that they are icon scenes. A lot of scenes mentioned in this thread are not iconic.

That's the best scene of any Batman movie so far.

From The Amazing Spider-Man 2

the death of Gwen Stacy
