If you could meet yourself 5 years ago, what advice would you give?

Don't freeze myself to avoid waiting for the nintendo wii?

I would give myself all the sports results ,and bet on the winners.

write down lottery numbers also beat the **** outta myself for all the bad stuff I did

I think I'd avoid myself like the plague in case of a temporal paradox.

I'd first probably tell myself to avoid dating some certain people, then I'd tell myself to stick it through college. :(

winning lottery numbers and winning sports bets.

stay in school... that way you don't have to joke with everyone about being on "the 10 year plan".

To not take girls so seriously (even though I know my past, and hell, even my present self would have done his own thing anyway) and to keep going to a shrink and to not stop whining to our parents until I got a prescription to whatever medicine that would allow me to sleep.

That there are some things you cannot change. That there are some things best waiting for. That you have to stand your ground and be strong.

And that the dream will become a nightmare, no matter what you do. It's nothing but a fantasy and an act. See through it, and survive.

Save as much money as you can now. In a couple of years you're going to get the shock of your life and you'll need every penny. Don't buy anything that requires Hubby's help with building or installing it. If it's not his project he will procrastinate it into the future until it is no longer needed, desired, wanted or usefull.

You'd be the worst time traveller ever.

I would give myself the results for every major sporting event in that 5-year-period and become a multi, multi millionare. Then I'll have gambling legalised and open up my own casino. Only in America.

the point is actually you wouldn't have a choice of what advice you give yourself because you would have already come into contact with your future self five years ago giving you said advice (if any at all) and you would be destined to go back in time and say the exact same thing to your own past self five years from now.

basically, if it didn't happen and you didnt know what you were going to say, the universe would collapse

the real question is who formulates what you are going to say, your past self or your future self, or perhaps it's out of your hands and it really belongs to destiny...

*ponders*

I'm not really sure if I'd want to tell myself to avoid stuff that will happen to me

after all, it's the final overcoming of our mistakes which makes us exactly what we are today

and I really like the way things have been going so far

Don't go to college, you'll be in debt for the rest of your life.

Nothing, I wouldn't want to effect the Space Time Continuum.

Besides I like where I am now. I wouldn't want to screw with that.

Force Mom to get checked for lung cancer, no matter how ridiculous that sounds.

Be patient and keep the faith. You will get through it all.

Oh. And sign up for the SHH board so you can chat with the GR lads about GR and the movie coming up so that you can PM MSJ about his work!

Don't be so depressing little guy. And get a better sense of humor.
