So a woman has a get out of jail free card because her gender enables her to have kids more easily than men? Just because a woman has a child doesn't mean laws should favour her and sentencing more lenient. Relatives can care for the child, the father can, the state can or adopted parents who aren't criminals can.
What would be more harmful is leaving kids with a criminal parent, regardless of gender.
Who knows if they don't and even if they dont should the majority of what other men do affect a father who does want to be in his child's life and take care of them? It'd be hugely sexist for a judge to say "sorry because other men don't want to look after their children you won't be permitted to"
Sorry but that's just sexist. Men suffer 40% of domestic abuse. It's not okay just because women suffer 60%. And domestic abuse isn't just violence but psychological and emotional abuse, and men's strength means nothing as many men don't defend themselves against a violent partner as they were taught never to hit a woman.
Duke rape scandal. Men dragged across the coals with death threat, arrest, ruined reputations ect. When it was revealed the woman lied she
"faced no charges for her false accusations"
The media went on about the case for weeks when the woman was the victim but when revealed to be a liar the men, who were the victims, got a few days of vindication coverage. And even after the fact some still harassed them, refusing to accept their innocence. That's just one example.
Things are getting better since then and those who lie with false accusations are being punished, but not nearly enough in severity to discourage others or as recompense for the ruined lives.
This is akin to victim blaming and generalisation of all men as brutes. Putting more blame on the defender than the attacker. If a woman assaults a man shes not a victim if he defends himself within reason
There's the usage of reasonable force under the law. A person can defend themselves regardless of gender but only using reasonable force but not excessive force.
Men shouldn't be singled out for using reasonable force but they often are because "women are weak and men are strong". Instead of teaching men not to defend themselves teach women they can't get away with assaulting men with impunity because of their gender
If a man or woman uses excessive force in defence then he or she should be dealt with by the law but there's a double standard for reasonable force between men and women defenders.
Yes but that's irrelevant. It's not a 'women suffer more than men' argument it's a 'men suffer as well so shouldn't be ignored just because it's not as much as women' point.
Men's rights isn't about taking away women's rights it's about men and women being treated equally under the law and socially.
There are areas where men aren't equal and so should have a organisation to raise awareness and fight for equality. It's just as valid as feminism.
I checked and you're indeed correct, so it does make sense for more awareness as its more common.
Exactly
Yep, this is exactly what this tool is doing. Besmirching the principles with his misogyny
