Well, I've messed around long enough and I'm about to go back to school. AIU Business Admin. I hope the math has gotten easier. I'm a musician and can't count past 4.

You can't count pass 4? That's sad. Do you live in the South (like me)?

i have you both beat, i can count to 4567.

Good for you man. Good luck!

Good luck! And the math hasn't gotten easier... Math is one of the few subjects that consistently gets harder. I can't count past 00000100.

Good luck with going back. School is a mental thing, so you'll be successful if you put in the effort. Hopefully it all goes well for you.

I hope you can deal with the fact that you'll be older than most of your classmates better than I'm doing. I'll be 27 this year and most of my classmates are between the ages of 19-24. I end up feeling like a loser.:csad:

I'm 25, and I have a significant portion of my classmates younger. We also have some older people that have multiple kids and are in their 40s and 50s though. None of it matters if you make good grades. That's how I take it. I have the highest grades in all my courses, so I'm flying easy.

Surely you can count to 8 (though I imagine you'd have to start at 5).

Just don't be the older guy that hangs around the younger kids. No one likes that guy, even if he does buy the 18-20 year olds booze.

Good luck though.

I'm in the same situation. I'm hoping to get into grad school in the fall for Library and Information Science.

I'm smarter than all of my classmates put together aswell , but it's a matter of pride for me. It's like so what if I'm smarter than people in their early 20's and middle aged people. This 20 year old chick in my English 1A class last semester makes me look like a ****** when it comes to writing even though I've been writing for way longer than she has. I was once told I could be a pretty good professional writer at one time.

When people talk to you, do they find you at all off-putting? Because people who feel the desire to be the smartest person in the room tend to be, and you strike me as that sort of person.

I would guess they see me as off-putting because they think I think I'm smarter than everyone else. If they actually took the time to know me they'd know that I don't think I'm smarter than everyone. Only four people in my life so far have seen me as intelligent : a neo-nazi skinhead , which is ironic because I'm half creole ( french , black and native american) and half japanese. two of my teachers and this marine recruiter.

I used to be one of those people, but then I realized how much of an ass I was.

I have no idea why people assume I think I'm smarter than everyone else. If people actually took the time to know me they'd know I don't think that at all. I even admit that everything I'm good at , which isn't very much , there's like hundreds of others way more skilled at it than I am. I even told this one chick I doubt my grades are good enough to get into UCLA.

It's a music joke, sometimes I can count to 6 though.

And yes I live in the south. Georgia. American by birth, Southern by the grace of God.

I know the feeling, I dropped out back in the day, and 12 years later I'm heading back to college (Started beginning of the year). Lemme tell ya, Math isn't any easier by a long shot and still confuses the crap outta of me. Granted, I have a math genius friend that I can ask questions, and he explains it sooooo much better than the teachers, so I do have that perk. Plus, I'm going for Network Administration and I've always loved this field, but high time I actually did it. =P

Keep your mind focused, and use time best as you can, and you'll do okay. I'm holding about 3.2 GPA at the moment, which I don't think is bad considering how long it's been.

G'Luck,
Ali
