Back To School 2007-2008

Warhammer, don't you live in Hampton Roads?
Or am I thinking of another poster?

Yes sir.
I go to Kempsville.

welcome to my life. seriously im scared ****less of my future, but kep the faith man. i don't know if you beluive in god or not,but put your trust in faith in him and apply yourself in your studes.

I believe that everything happens for a reason, and that God watches over.

Real life isn't so bad,You don't need millions to survive the future or a 6 figure income, schools tell you that you think you do.The problem with this country's school system is that they don't teach you how to be happy.

I think this country's high school system is merely a rat race, and nothing more. There was a thread that Movies205 made a while back that was exactly how I felt about the system. With that said, real life begins in college.

People say life begins in college cause all they wanna do is make friends, get drunk and get laid...but real life hits you in the face when the party is over. You still have to find a job to support yourself, pay bills,do your own laundry and cook your own meals if your a single guy on his own.It sucks when you "can't buy a new computer, cause the rent is due next week" Movies205 is only 18/19? He's most likely still living at home.

I just started college this year and let me tell you, my life so far is no party. Living in a dorm makes me want to take my life.:csad:

I meant that when you go to college, you are actually molding/shaping your future, as opposed to HS. In college, you are taking what you want to take, in order to become what you want to become in life. Your post is true, though. Just don't think that I meant partying and getting drunk in at the club, etc.

Bachelor's degree does something now, but as you become middle aged and beyond, more people will have Bachelor degrees. More than you think. Then you'll have young whipper snappers getting the jobs due to their age, and you are left struggling after one/keeping one.

This is why I am aiming for a Masters degree, because of that, I will more than likely have security of keeping a job as I get older.

college blows, especially when you're running around figuring out how you're going to buy all these expensive ass books:(

I'm starting my first year and had to pay £77 for books :cmad:

This is the first year in 16 that I'm not going back to school. Life is good.

Jobs and bills and all that aren't so bad.

My last semester of college started last week, all management classes, all in 3 hour blocks at night after work. It's going to take me at least another week or two before I don't feel like a walking zombie all of the time.

I always forget how old you are, Prog.

You damn skeleton.
That avvy pic is obviously fake. :o

I'm not sure what's gonna happen right now. I'm registered to start next week, but I also have some job interviews next week too. I'll have to find out how to manage a schedule around school or/and work. I've rather work full-time this term and take one class as opposed to school full-time and working part-time.

I started school last week and I already have 4 projects due in Mid-September! I'm going insane trying to get them all done. I h8 school and i want my summer back. :( :(

I'm taking a speech class, but I didn't want it...

I think alot of people try to avoid those classes...like me

Started my sophomore year of college about a week ago. Classes are already tough

Nope, just don't overspend (hard to do with a hobby like comics) and live below your means.

Exactly...If you don't go to college, you'll be out in the street! That's how they want you think...I live on just a tad under 40K/yr and I'm happy. I didn't become a doctor...oh well....
