I'm oh so bored with the threads on the first, second and third page...so, let us tackle the age old question...if you could live forever, would you?

I've heard a lot of people say "no".

Mainly because of the whole family and friends die all around you while you still live and recall past events, etc.,etc.....

What's your take?

To me both 1 and 2 are the same ;) ... so I went with #4.

Depends, if it's the vampire way... Hell yeah!
Maby even if it's the Highlander way.

If it's like it's now, I just don't age... Not sure.

if i still aged then living forever would be hell....but if this is like a get stuck at 27 sorta deal then it would be all ****s and giggles to begin with then eventualy you'd get bloody bored and annoyed with everything and start to try to find ways to kill yourself to end your suffering cause you're getting tired of all the death thats around you.

if you still aged then you'd be to old to really do much anyhow...so what would the point be?

anyhoo...no...imortality...bad...

Honestly, I don't think that there is such a thing as being too old to do anything. There was a French woman who took up fencing at the age of 100 and excelled at it. I've heard about 70 year old men who could kick most people's asses six ways from sunday. There's a fellow in New Yoork who, at the age of 100 plus, is still a practicing lawyer. A person is only too old to do something if they let themselves become too old to do something.

are you honestly telling me that at the age of 562 you'd be up to a round of golf?

I honestly don't know. But if a 100 year old woman can take up and excede and fencing, then I wouldn't be surprised.

but surely at a point you WOULD be to old to do anything...like imortal means live for ever and ever so at some point you are probably going to be to old and weak to move when you're like 10,000 years old...

Hell yes.
As long as it includes invincibility, then my answer is yes.

I don't think so. I don't believe there's such a thing as being too old to do something. The only reason old folks become weak is because they let themselves. If someone can take up fencing at the age of 100, then I don't see why an old person couldn't keep in good shape beyond that.

I'd love to live forever and never grow old and never die.

It depends.

Like, I'm impervious to harm, and age slowly...YES.

If I age moderately slow, say one year every 20 or so...YES.

If I never age...NO.

I'd **** with history, assasinate(sp?) politcal figures, cause natural disasters, and laugh about it decades later.

but surely you have to atleast accept that at somepoint you will lose your get up and go. and you're talking about a woman who's 100, not some guy whos over 5 times her age.

I'm really interested in seeing how everything ends so immortality is ok with me

Why do I have to accept that? Currently, I've got no 500 year olds to compare with. The fact that people have been able to do things like take up fencing at 100 has led me to think that there is no such thing as being too old to do something, and alot of that comes from the will of the old person in question.

there's nothing wrong with a little walk on the wild side every now and then. being Catholic, there's always the confessional...

Scared of death. Want to live forever and ever.

What exactly does "six ways from Sunday" mean?
