The thing that I liked most about Ruth was that she was such a "deceptive-looking" character; it's like her personality contrasted greatly with her initial presence! There she was, sitting in that diner, and looking as beautiful as any angel should be (well, thanks to Mr. Crain's art.

). You'd think - with her calm, gentle face & clean-white clothing - it's enough to fool anyone into thinking that she was just a "nice, simple young woman".....
BUT suddenly, a young boy sees through her guise (spots her wings), and makes the grave mistake of telling his mom about it. After that, the true horror of Ruth's '
inner malice' comes into light! A few panels later, and
you learn what she did to that poor child...........
Kazann, too, was a great character of his own. He sorta came to me as a "combined force" between Centurious & Skinner: For one, I felt he had that same devious aura of a '
mastermind' I soooo loved about "the Soulless Prince"; while his powers were eerily reminiscent of Skinner's own (Kazann had the ability to inhabit corpses of the fallen; whereas Skinner normally guised himself with his victim's flesh).
While I'm not usually a fan of Garth Ennis' work, his characterization of Ruth & Kazann was (IMHO) one of the stronger aspects of RTD. I swear they just HAVE to bring these two characters back, someday -- whether it be in a movie, or (better yet!

) into the ongoing comic! It'd be such a shame to waste such promising foes of Ghost Rider
