I found this:

What issue is that? JLA: New World Order? If not, what is NWO and what issue does Batman join? And what time period is this? (Before or after which main event, either Tim Drake becoming Robin, Batgirl becoming oracle, Pre-Dark Victory???)

this was during brad meltzer's run on JLA. the arc was called "the tornadoes path"

What time period does that fall into? Before Tim Drake/Dick Grasyon/Jason Todd/Barb Gordon? And that's before JLA 1 right? Where does JLA 1 fall?

Ever since Jim Lee did Hush it seems that every artist since draws Batman with his ears sticking out, I suppose it looks cool but I don't think every artist has to do the same.

no, i believe this particular moment comes when the JLA was recently reformed from the ground up.

That was just like a re-upping of Batman's League status.

He's been in the League at least informally since, like, 1966.

The Silver Age Earth-1 light wholesome Batman had been a founding member of the Super Friends-esque Justice League
as seen in Justice League of America #9 (1962), by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky.

The Post-Crisis dark grim Batman wasn't a founding member of the League
and hadn't officially joined the League until Justice League #1 (1987), by Keith Giffen, JM DeMatteis and Kevin Maguire,
because Denny O'Neil as Batman editor revamped Batman's history removing the Silver Age Batman history with the League
because it does not correspond to the dark grim Batman and, in fact, is contradictory.

The Post-Infinite Crisis New Earth lighter Batman had been a founding member of the League as seen in 52 #51 ('07),
which is a rewind back to the Silver Age by Mark Waid and Ivan Reis.

Aww such happy times Martian Manhunter looks more like Lex Luthor only in green and you wouldn't tell that one guy is snapping his fingers unless the word 'SNAP!' is written for the reader.
