I personally like BP more as an overall film, but IW was a great film going experience and up there among my favorite CBM in general right alongside BP, TDK, CAWS, Spiderman 2, XMDOFP, and WW.

I'm still taking in both films . They both leave alot to think about.

IW is a superior experience in almost every way. That's not taking anything away from BP but IW was just that great.

I enjoyed IWs more. BP is good, but it has some slow parts. I don't think IWs has one slow moment it is non stop.

When I saw BP, I knew then it was in my top 3 Mcu along with Winter Soldier and Civil War. Was never quite sure the order amongst the three however. Still undecided until another rewatch of BP is in order.

After a viewing of IW last night, it is conclusively the best movie in the Mcu. No questions about it for me.
It belongs in the same sentence as Spider-man 2 and TDK as all time best CBM imo. It's just that damn good!

I acknowledge that BP is a great superhero film, and a bit of a cultural phenomenon. I felt it was a fresh spin on a lot of familiar cbm elements and I understand why it has succeeded as well as it has - and I believe it deserves that success. It was the right film, in the right place, at the right time - and for a world where hope is in short supply, it was a film we needed.

However, it doesn't speak to me in the same way that IW did, as an absolutely epic cbm - it fees like a different species of film to Civil War, Winter Solider and Dark Knight, which are smaller scale dramas - IW is an epic, on the scale of LOTR or Star Wars.

As such, I prefer IW. I remember sitting in BP, and thinking "this is great. glad that I saw it." but not being too fired up about seeing it again.

So, infinity war !

There wasn't a moment in IW where I wasn't thinking "Damn, I need to see this again."

Infinity War, by far, it's up there with The Dark Knight.

Yeah, I said it.

f*** yeah!

I totally loved BP but IW is by far my favorite MCU film.

Both are fantastic but I felt BP was inconsistent in comparison. It had a bit of a slow start and the third act was...problematic, shall we say.

The biggest thing BP has going for it is its villain... who was trumped by Thanos in Infinity War. Mix in the massive cast, non-stop action, great jokes, and payoff for a decade of story buildup, and IW wins pretty handily.

Infinity War by far. Black Panther was too inconsistent and sloppy. They didn't take advatange of the material they had.

Probably my biggest complaint with Wakanda was how tiny it felt. The had some of T'Challa's facilities, that one street... and that was pretty much it. I wanted to see stuff like Wakandan schools, hospitals, stores, homes, etc. Just seemed like worldbuilding got totally neglected, which is a shame because the Guardians movies do a great job with it.

Yeah, I hope we see much more of that in the sequel.

Infinity War is a better spectacle.

Black Panther is a better movie.

I liked Infinity War more. Much better spectacle (money is on the screen) and it featured characters that I liked from other films.

I didn't like Black Panther at all.

That's like comparing a noir to a musical: two different types of movies.

I'll say Infinity War because we've been invested and waiting for this crossover to happen since 2012, but Black Panther was superb as its own movie.

Ditto. Just saw IW, and I've never been this floored by a MCU film the way I am right now. Always loved MCU films, but this is on a whole other level by itself.

It is a hard one since this is my best 2 of MCU movie (which always changed in order depending on repeat viewings)

BLACK Panther is more personal movie

while Infinity War is more like Marvel Comic event comes to life, with little character arc for the heroes...

Plus...both has great villains, it is very hard to choose, really..

I'm waiting to rate Infinity War as a two-parter before I officially say I prefer it (we need Part II to finish the story); but currently, that'd be my pick by a margin.

would rather watch Black Panther again. enjoyed the experience of Infinity War more as an experience. imo Black Panther is a better film. but as usual, solo character movies (more focused, smaller stories) tend to resonate more than team movies in all these franchises. DCEU and Fox-Men is no different. MoS, WW by far better than the rest of the DCUE. Logan, Deadpool X-2 (basically Wolverine and friends like DoFP) are better than every other X-Men movie easily.
