i acknowledge that bp is a great superhero film, and a bit of a cultural phenomenon. I felt it was a fresh spin on a lot of familiar cbm elements and i understand why it has succeeded as well as it has - and i believe it deserves that success. It was the right film, in the right place, at the right time - and for a world where hope is in short supply, it was a film we needed.
However, it doesn't speak to me in the same way that iw did, as an absolutely epic cbm - it fees like a different species of film to civil war, winter solider and dark knight, which are smaller scale dramas - iw is an epic, on the scale of lotr or star wars.
As such, i prefer iw. I remember sitting in bp, and thinking "this is great. Glad that i saw it." but not being too fired up about seeing it again.
So, infinity war !
There wasn't a moment in iw where i wasn't thinking "damn, i need to see this again."
