I'd want Avengers 5 to be smaller in scale than any other Avengers film so far

They took characters that most people had never heard of, and turned them into movie legends. They can do it again.

Adam Warlock is coming; other characters will follow. We might actually get Moon Knight.

What I don't expect is to see characters re-cast. Captain America may have a different character in the suit, but Chris Evans is Steve Rogers, and RDJ is Tony Stark. I don't think they'll Ruffalo anyone major again.

I think this is a good instinct to have and would make perfect sense to me. However it appears that Marvel will go big on the cosmic aspects with Gunn and co, certainly if they bring Kang into the fold from a potential Fox deal.

Cosmic things will be more prominent going forward. We'll have Captain Marvel, Guardians 3, maybe Nova, etc.
