Hey - I was wondering if anyone can help me with how to ink a pencil drawing - never have before, id like to do it on my pc say on photoshop if possible (create the effects of inking) or if that isnt possible what sort of pen would i need - prefereby digitally though. cheers

There's also some quick cheaty ways around inking.
- Drop the brightness and Up the contrast in photoshop. it will make your pencil lines crisper and much darker.

- Adobe Illustrator CS2 has a tool called livetrace. it essentially inks for you, but I've been unable to get it to work properly, as my pencil lines aren't crisp enough.

Good luck. =)

Faster than that you can just slide the levels with Ctrl+L. Move the tiny triangle on the left TO the right. That will make the lines darker as well.

try the level controls first, and then create another layer or two in photoshop of the drawing (select the drawing layer and hit ctrl+j) and set the blend mode to multiply. then merge the layers until you're happy with the result. i'm not explaining this very well.

if you have a lot of scratches and such on the paper, and if the paper isn't perfectly white, this might not work out

EGADS Photoshop sounds like a B#*%h to learn, give me the ol brush and pen any day. :D
