I won't lie when I was a kid in junior high I used to really be into them. I even went to the first two "Gathering of the Juggalos" and truth is most of their fanbase are just down to earth very friendly and caring people I never met a truly violent person at any of the 9 shows I had gone to, to see them live.

One of the biggest reasons this is going down (and has been for a while now) is that people that call themselves Juggalos are tired of being hassled by police just for wearing a jersey with it or having a tattoo of a Hatchetman and such. I'm proud to call myself a Juggalo and have been for almost 20 years now. There are people from many walks of life with tattoos of bands, interests, etc. that are not filed under the category of a gang. There are individuals who claim to be Juggalos and constantly do criminal/gang type things. I don't deny that. There are also many "normal" people who do the same kinds of things, have tattoos but are NEVER associated with gangs. It's about time someone got in the FBI's collective butt and challenged their profiling tactics.

I don't see them as criminal either, or a gang. Something always seemed odd to me and kind of cult like to define yourself by being a fan of a music group though. But that's just me.

I have to say, the juggalos I know are some of the best and most excepting people I've ever met. And were never violent or anything like that. So yeah it's just a stereotype, ironically enough a majority of the ones I know all grew out of it.
