Sorry Hippy. I made it private because I was hoping that for the most part there would be an actual discussion on the topic, but realized after the first page that this thread was doomed.

The part that interests me is that we are in a very differnet time now. A sort of Sexual revolution occurred where many adults now aren't in any way scared or ashamed to talk about sex. ti can be a topic that isn't shunned, but *********ion still is for a large part. People will acknowledge it exists, but it still seems that it is mostly untalked about and while many people are open to all sorts of ideas about sex, they shy away from the mere mention of *********ion. I am actually wondering why that is. Also, I personally believe that even though women generally don't *********e as much as men, they are much more shy and ashamed about it. IS that the case? And if so, why?

It isn't as culturally accepted, for one. Also, no one really talks about *********ion with women....for guys, people act like it isn't normal if a boy doesn't start *********ing around puberty. No one mentions if it's normal for a girl to want to pleasure herself. Hell, many girls don't even realize what a clitoris is for at 13 (well, maybe not now when many 13 year olds are getting pregnant ). Little girls are stereotypically supposed to be sweet little angels who don't do dirty things such as pleasuring themselves.....they just wait to be defiled when a boy starts experimenting with them.

Right, and I am wondering if that will be changing soon (by soon I mean in a generation or two) seeing as how sex in America is becoming more acceptable an idea and not just something people do with their husband/wife at night and never talk about.

That's certainly not what I've witnessed. With the exception of people who believe *********ion is some kind of sin, it seems that there is MUCH more talk about it in recent years than there ever was before. It's casually mentioned in TV, movies and popular music quite regularly. Hell, people discuss it with pride at great length (ha) around here. Everyone says *********ing is no big deal, but if they really feel that way then why do so many have to constantly talk about it and look for validation?


I think some of the horny boys around here are just hoping that certain female posters will slip up and give away some personal secrets that can be filed away in the old Spank Bank.
