20th Century Fox may have found their next Avatar -- and we don't mean the sequel to the studio's record-breaking sci-fi epic.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio, via their Fox 2000 banner, has taken a shine to the sci-fi spec script Ion, which has G.I. Joe's Channing Tatum attached to star and sibling filmmakers Ridley Scott and Tony Scott aboard to produce.

The trade says Will Dunn's romantic sci-fi story "revolves around a man who travels to different Earths and dimensions in order to find his reincarnated lover. Execs are using the magic word -- Avatar -- to describe the scope and otherworldly elements of the script."

Ironically, Dunn's spec was shopped around to little fanfare before Avatar was released; post-Avatar it was put back out in the marketplace and garnered a whole lot more heat this time.

it'll prob be like The Time travelers Wife... dont expect anything good...

especially with tatum and tony scott

I hope this movie flops, along with any other film starring this idiot. He is the worst actor I've ever seen, aside from the cast of Manos: The Hands of Fate.

so are one the Scott brothers attached to direct? or are they only producing? I'd prefer Ridley, but I personally don't have any hate for Tony Scott, he just needs a good script i think.

This sounds terrible... and that's not even to mention who the attached lead is.

i think he gets the job done in those movies.

i think my problem with Tatum is that he looks like an underwear model. you know ? hes face looks like it belongs on a magazine cover. i just think he doesnt look '' realistic''

This movie sounds terrible in more ways than one.

well of she was reincarnated she'd be a baby, so i'd say the description is off. Also they already did this movie with the ending of "the one."

I just got this horrible vision of Tatum portraying Kyle Rayner.
