20th Century Fox may have found their next Avatar -- and we don't mean the sequel to the studio's record-breaking sci-fi epic.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio, via their Fox 2000 banner, has taken a shine to the sci-fi spec script Ion, which has G.I. Joe's Channing Tatum attached to star and sibling filmmakers Ridley Scott and Tony Scott aboard to produce.
The trade says Will Dunn's romantic sci-fi story "revolves around a man who travels to different Earths and dimensions in order to find his reincarnated lover. Execs are using the magic word -- Avatar -- to describe the scope and otherworldly elements of the script."
Ironically, Dunn's spec was shopped around to little fanfare before Avatar was released; post-Avatar it was put back out in the marketplace and garnered a whole lot more heat this time.
