Watched it tonight. Loved it! Interesting characters and told in a way you may see done by QT. I was engaged from beginning until the end.

Yeah I read a few reviews that said it felt like it belonged in the 90s when all the Pulp Fiction knockoffs came out. I don’t think it was meant as a slight to this movie just that the tone was similar.

Oh, it's not a slight. I would say this movie felt like a QT movie sort of like how Cabin in the Woods felt like a Whedon movie. I don't think this was as good as a QT movie, but I still really enjoyed it none the less. This is the type of movie you have to pay attention to as well. Just really solid all around. I was excited for this, and not disappointed.

Not even Hemsworth dancing to hush could rescue this mess, so dull. Cabin in the Woods is 1000x better than whatever this was.

Really looking forward to this, glad to hear of the good reviews and experiences in this thread. I'll try to get it this weekend.

Looks like I won't get to see it 'til Monday. :(

When you say Hush, is it this awesomeness you're referring to?:

Excellent. While I prefer Deep Purple Mark II with Ian Gillan as singer, this song always cheer me up. And Hemsworth dancing to it sounds kinda awesome, regardless the rest of the flick.

Just saw it. I thought it had some pacing issues in the first act, but overall the film is really well made. Great performances from everybody.

Looks like this is DOA unfortunately. Doesn’t look like Hemsworth can open a non-Thor movie. Maybe MIB4 will change that.

This is more of an ensemble than a vehicle for Hemsworth. But I don't think anyone was expecting this to bring in big numbers anyway.

Well, I loved it. Goddard's characters and sensibilities are always fun to watch for me, and I loved seeing Hemsworth in a role like this. The whole cast was great, but Cynthia Erivo especially was fantastic. Can't wait to see her in Widows. And I love that he didn't put in scenes that spelled out certain "secrets" for us with wordy exposition, and instead trusted the audience to connect those dots on their own.
