Is a burrito a sandwich? Judge says no

I wonder if I made a club sandwich, and then put it in a blender, if it would still be a sandwich or change into something else.

They should open a Sandwich Smoothies Shoppe.

That made me gag.

I find it shocking that anything at all could set off Toven's gag reflex.

Well, countless thousands of potential consumers.....one widdle guy who thought he could get by selling half-assed sandwiches 'cause he had an artificial monopoly...

Welcome to reality, sandwich-p*ssy. Right here, there's a Border's bookstore, and a couple blocks away there's a Barnes and Noble.

Barnes and Noble inexplicably doesn't carry my favorite magazine, "Shock Cinema". Borders does. So when I want the new Shock Cinema, SOWWY WIDDLE Bawnes an' Nobew....I'm going to Borders. They get my money.

But B+N has a better DVD selection than Borders. So when I'm in the mood for a movie, sorry Borders. I'm going to B+N.

:whatever:

I suppose people would prefer some totalitarian socialist set-up where there's one drug store, one furniture store, one Greek restaurant, etc. within 10 mile circles.

Excuse me but why are you aiming your insults at me. I do not own a sandwich shop and am just trying to explain how the sandwich shop owner probably thinks. And you should be able to understand that guys position, if you just try. It does not mean you have to agree with it.

I for one understand a bit better. Every one defends their own interests rather then those of others except for a few exceptional beings.

I know that you behave like any consumer but note that no company likes competition if they could help it. Even though it is esssential for the continuous progress of technological innovations.

Anyways, I never stated my own opinion on the matter. The shop owner made a very big mistake in his initial negotiation, his non-competitin clause was too narrow to start with. And as a consumer, I would be happy with the increase of choice.

When you serve clam chowder in sourdough bread, does it automatically turn into a sandwich?

The ludicrousness and frivolity of the suit comes in his arguing that a burrito is a sandwich solely for the purpose of maintaining his artificial monopoly. I don't blame him for wanting to protect his business, but I do blame him for going about it in such a ridiculous way. The judge had it right on this when he said that he knew of no chef or food historian that would ever call a burrito or a taco a sandwich.

Good Lord.

Every now and then I'm reminded how great the world is.

LOL, are you mad? I didn't insult you ever, not once.
In fact I'm insulted that you've falsely accused me of insulting you. Maybe you should read my post again and then apologize.

And you should be able to understand that guys position, if you just try. It does not mean you have to agree with it.
Again, WTF are you talking about? I DO understand where he's coming from, and I DON'T agree with it. So what's the prob, Bob?

I would be happy with the increase of choice.
Me too. :)

Thats because they didnt call an expert witness. Me.

I find this ironic, considering the Panera Bread close to my house is right next to a Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Justice is best served in a steamy tortilla
