Here's one person who won't be back for Heroes' second season:

TV Guide reports that Missy Peregrym, who played "Candice" the changing-appearance girl on Heroes Season 1, has replaced Nikki Reed as the lead actress in the new CW series Reaper.

Reaper will air Tuesdays at 9PM on the CW. You can read an interview that Missy had done with HeroSite.net about her Heroes character here.

I doubt it. Whilst Heroes will be the bigger show, she gets to play lead in Reaper. As an actress it's a more fulfilling role for her.

Why couldn't she do both? Her part is tiny in Heroes, especially when considering how much of it is actually her. Several of the cast members juggle multiple television roles, not to mention movies, plays, etc.

Well she can change her appearance, but they probably wont do that. If anything, they might do the "new look" thing into the comic and the have a different actor (or various actors) appear as her in the show from time to time. This is even more feasible if Betty=Candace.

When she said it before it could have been sarcasism. I'm glad the character is dead.

She's so used to maintaining the Candace illusion that she controls it sub-consciously.

When she was killed by Sylar, she reverted back to her true form.

I don't know. You can explain easily enough though. Maybe her appearance bothers her so much, that she's even able to maintain that illusion while unconscious. I'm about to go all Freud on everyone. But that whole psych theory of the unconscious being home to all of our inner-most desires, even the ones we refuse to acknowledge awake, could apply to Candace. Her unconscious could allow her to continue her whole facade of being physically attractive. This is a whole lot harder to pull off when you're dead though.

Exactly my thoughts too. That damn idiot still walking the face of the Earth...And I'm sure he'll get his powers back somehow...
