Is it over for DC comics?

DC's fine, and it's comics are great. This thread can be closed now. :o

Again...#2 is NOT A BAD THING. They are still making a TON of money. Being #2 does not make you go out of business.

The general populace likes crap, that fact has been established years ago. Nothing new here.

why would you start this thread about DC - which, yes, is, and usually is and has been in second place for a long time, but only barely - and not question why companies like Image, Dark Horse, Slave Labor, Top Shelf, and Dynamite, companies which do a fraction od DC's business COMBINED, are still around?

my head hurts from the sheer stupidity that is this thread...

Corp is so negative. :(

No, I'm old. And thusly, irritable and stale-smelling. :(

There are seven major movie studios:

20th Century Fox
Warner Brothers
Paramount
Disney
Universal
MGM
Sony

Together, these film studios take in 99.9999% of the box office take every year. None of them have over a 20% market share.

DC has over 30% Market share. WHY would they at all be at risk of going away?

hey elijya, can we close this thread?

we can, but there's no immediate need to

man, you mean spite isnt a good enough reason? :(

i'm a dc fan, and i usually end up in the marvel area only because dc threads seem to be more about marvel than the marvel ones.

I can't say I've liked many of the more recent Marvel books, although a few are ok. But I tend to read a bit more DC. One thing I have kind of noticed though is that Marvel tends to have all or most of its books either involved in the major cross over going on (and there always seems to be one), or they are part of their own big story arc. And it seems like even if the story isn't that great, the cross over factor and people wanting to keep up with the complete cross over will pick up books they would normally not bother with because of the cross over.

LAWL! All I say is LAWL! And Purple Man, commence to being less annoying immediately.

The sales charts saids it all. http://www.newsarama.com/marketreport/feb07sales.html That no one likes good stories that DC is telling but that Fascism and racism are much better comic book stories. And this is why I stop reading Marvel.

If no one likes DC's stories why are they #2 and not below other independent publishers? Are you satisfied with DC or is it that you want DC to be what Marvel was before CW so that you can have your old Marvel back? I don't understand. Maybe you're better off just making a rant thread in the Marvel forum and let it all out.

Its such an odd rant. Its like all the anti-Marvel rants you read but in a Bizarro World.

[Michaelangelo]TOTALLY![/Michaelangelo]

Its like "DC sucks because it doesn't sell" Unlike "It sucks that DC doesn't sell as well" or "Marvel sucks, but it sells well" or "Marvel sells well because it sucks".

I'm so ****ing confused.

DC rocks.Story wise, its been beating Marvel. But Marvel brainwashes people to buy their works.

Yup, all those subliminal messages they implant in their books.:whatever:
...

That might explain why I stayed with Bruce Jones' Hulk run! :wow:

Well, up until that ******ed Absorbing Man arc. That was the final straw. :o

Give us back Brubaker. :cmad:
