Is it possible to attach pics to PMs

I'm trying to send someone a picture and i want to attach the picture to the PM, is that possible?

I know you can do it with normal posts but the option doesn't come up with PMs, so i'm a little bemused.

No, it's not posssible with Private Messages. At least, not with the way SHH is set up currently. However, all other BB code should work, such as bold and

Personal reasons, you'd have to ask Mirko. But I'd probably guess he'd be against it for reasons of bandwith.

Technical Reasons, just because the code isn't set up to be able to do that. I'm positive that it can be set up to do so with relative ease. I think I saw another board where it was set up to do that.

fair enough, i was just wondering

It just seemed odd that if you wanted to share something privately, you'd first have to host it up publically if your only means of uploading info was via the hype itself.

You can set up Photobucket to be a private account. The only way anyone would be able to use anything there would be if they already had a direct link to what it was they wanted--they couldn't simply browse your stuff.

I signed up with picturedot ages ago, i promised myself i wouldn't change to photobucket

i'm a faithful dog but alas, my 50 pic limit has been reached so i'm stumped.

it's nothing more than curiosity, i managed to use a similar pic someone else had hosted before.

no biggie.

although i would say if it is possible to get something like this done, i would recommend having the facility updated when the hype goes through its next reboot.

It's something I'll bring across to Mirko in the future. I've got a few more recommendations once I get some stability in my day-to-day to get back to working on some of the stuff I was already working on.
