It's a small, small world, and you're too fat for it

Are you seriously asking the question, or are you just continuing in on the gang-bang?

I'd ask it to be serious....is there something precluding you from losing weight or are you "happy just the way you are".....?

Keep saying this thread was all jokes, see that changes the truth, ganging up on somebody doesn't change that fact. Thanks for chirping in then, might as get back to talking about Dragonball Z and Naruto or something.

Why do you think you people were "ganging up on" you? I'm sure you aren't the only fat person to post in this thread, yet YOU were the one ganged up on. Do you think there might have been a reason for that? Maybe because you made great fodder for "ganging up on". You gave everybody the artillery they needed to constantly barrage you with multitudes of different responses, ranging from semi-serious to ridiculous. And you *ahem* ate them all up.

Here goes:

Typical story, chubby kid(born that way, not through overeating, parents wouldn't have that), ostracized at school, teased, carried that through years growing up, success here in there, especially in athletics through hard work. Once the college years started, too busy to exercise and eat right, got larger and larger, which in turn doesn't help in the social realm, which leads to depression, which lead to more bad eating habits(no other vices in life, just enjoyment of lots of ****ty food).

Once you surpass a certain size the chances of losing it and keeping it off are like slim to none, but attempts are constantly made, lost 50 to 100 here, gain it all back there, do it again and again, always something that makes you go back to how it was before, usually a major change in life derails you. Finally got gastric bypass surgery, have kept off around 140 lbs from it(though got a good deal lower from the first initial rush), but am still a large dude, and no more attractive than I was before, but at least not in deaths range, due to the ability to exercise and such, which is nice.

So really, nothing precluding me from losing all the weight, except for history, genetics, lack of will power, and the ebb and flow of life.

See, there were serious posts in the mire, makes it really difficult to make heads or tails of them, you might say 'semi-serious', but they were serious, lets not kid ourselves.

Okay so here is what I read "Wah wah wah, pity me, gastic bypass, I'm lazy and depressed".

'I'm serious', see, are you really serious. Stop being a *****, again, are you serious?
Yeah, I'm serious. Stop being a ***** and drop the weight. If you get so feathered ever time someone brings it up then common sense dictates that you are unhappy with it yourself. So why not quit your whining and lose the weight?

That post wasn't meant for you, it was meant for Black Lantern and BRUTAL, the people who asked, I guess should of pm'd.

Do you have any vices, issues you are not happy about in your life?

No I read the same thing... gastric bypass, blah, blah. The surgery doesn't mean s**t if you continue to eat garbage in large amounts.

Do you have any vices, issues you are not happy about in your life?
All of my vices are no match for my willpower. I smoked for 8 years of my life, I got fed up with it and I quit. No big deal.

If you actually desire to change something about yourself, then just do it. Don't piss and moan about how tough it is for you like you're some special case because you're not. You're just like every other crying wuss out there who would rather complain than do the work. If you're unhappy about your weight get off your fat ass and lose it.

I knew a guy in college who was OBESE. He was 5'8" and 405 pounds. He needed a cane to walk because his body couldn't support the weight he was carrying. He had the "woe is me" thing going on, depressed all the time, and some serious health issues that were guaranteed to kill him before he was 40. He finally started listening to us about how to eat right. He started walking for 30 minutes a day, every day, even though it was excruciatingly painful for him to do so. After a couple of months, the pain of walking went away and he'd shed 35 pounds. Six months later he was jogging and had lost 125 pounds. A year later he was lifting with us and going for long runs and had dropped 215 pounds and looked great. Every time I hear someone say they can't do it, I think of Brian and how he changed his life and simply have to call "bullsh1t" on anyone who says they can't change their life for the better. If he did it, anyone can.

Everybody has vices. I cheat on women. I micromanage people. I try to control that over which I have no control. I've been known to blow people off when I should actually be there for them. But I don't let those things lord over me like a friggin sword of damacles. Everyone has problems, hell half those people in the Olympics lost parents or have cancer running in their family or somthing horrible like that. Hell George Bush is functionally ******ed, and he became President.

Most successful people can get past their problems, are you trying to tell us your just an unsuccessful person?

Where in that post did I complain, seriously, point it out to me right ****ing now. You asked for why I haven't been able to lose the weight, I told you so, yet you go that extra step to point out what a lazy worthless person I am.

Not once in this thread have I said I want you to except the excuses, just understand how it can get that way and not to belittle people, that is all.

There is only one area in my life that I have failed, and it is this, so do not call me lazy until you know me.

You're lazy because you seem to have accepted some delusion that you can't help being fat.

Define what is successful, as in my other post to Brutal, in all other areas in my life I am successful, my weight is my main failure. Is success being self sufficient, not living off the dole of others, owning your own property, having a high paying job you love, friends and family you can't live without, good health outside of not looking the part, no debt, good credit, what else can I cover?

Again, understanding and not being chastised is different than ass-kissing listening to excuses.

I went from 240 to 195, because I was disgusted with myself. It took a specific level of self hatred for me to get motivated to lose the weight. Its not a hundred pounds but its a significant amount and I know I am a lot healther today because of it...

Losing 50 pounds is great, congrats on that, hope you keep it off forever.

I ran into him about six or seven months ago, coincidentally, and he still looked great a decade later. He kept up with his exercise and eating habits.
