I've never seen this trailer....

That teaser was only shown at ShoWest 2000 I believe.

Are you sure? I seem to remember going to the theater Specifically to see it.

^ I'm basing that on the fact that that particular trailer states the incorrect release date (2001). I personally never saw a "webs only" teaser in a theater, only online. I was under the impression that those early promo trailers were only shown at ShoWest 2000, E3 2001 and online.

Wasn't the helicopter webbing/Twin Towers teaser the very first SM trailer released to regular public theaters?

Spiderman was originaly set for a 2001 release but it was pushed back after 9/11. From what I heard they had to re-shoot a bunch of scene that the towers were in.The shot of the WTC in Spidey's eye was left in as a tribute I think.

plus they're in the last scene when hes swinging onto the american flag pole.

Spider-Man never had it's release date pushed back due to 9/11.
There was only that one scene in the teaser that had the WTC which was cut and the rest were digitally scraped out from the shots.
Spider-Man was always going to premiere in May '02. THat was the first official release date. That's why the WTC trailer advertised it as releasing 'next summer'.

Seriously, all this nonsense about people talking like they know what they're talking about when they actually don't know anything it ticking me off. First, the WRONG adament belief that the ShoWest trailer was a fake... and now just blatantly wrong information about the movie getting pushed back.
If you don't know for sure, it's better to say nothing at all unless you're asking a question.

The movie was pushed back. It was going to be released in November 2001. But the decision to push it back was made in the fall of 2000, so it clearly had nothing to do with 9/11. It was opushed back so that the would have more time to work on the effects. The only decision made due to 9/11 was removing the World Trade Center from the teaser.

Is the original teaser with the World Trade Center buildings available anywhere?

I remember watching it on a Spider-Man Hype link, but then 911 happened and ut was gone forever.

Never mind... I found it on youtube....
