Er... as much as you know.. I"m one of those "fat asses"... I have to contradict you on the water thing.
The reason -anyone- retains water is because they're not drinking ENOUGH of it. When you drink enough water, you actually pee a lot more often, because your body goes "OH! I don't have to hang onto the water anymore, I'm getting a bunch of it fresh all the time!".
And the myth abouth 64oz. of water a day is just that; a myth. Drink until your pee runs clear. That means your body is flushing out only water and bad things, and keeping most of your good vitamins and all that.
I do have to say that I really don't like some of the very mean and angry and almost violent attitudes towards fat people. Yeah, I know it's a choice. No, it doesn't make me less of a person, and I'm not asking for your sympathy.
You want the fool-proof way to lose weight? It's not about diets; they don't work. Drink a lot of water, and burn more calories than you consume. DONE. Seriously. That's how you lose weight. Just remember that your body burns, on its own, anywhere between 1200 and 1500 calories per day (women 1200, men 1500), so if you add exercise on top of that, you can add more caloric intake per day to balance out, or be just below what you burn.
Anyway... I'm done. That is pretty hypocritical of the guy, but it probably was a joke. I could see myself doing something like that. It's an irony.. Because he _IS_ fat, so how he got up there.. MYSTERY! :P
