Jackie Chan is The Foreigner

The Asian Taken, a.k.a. Takeout.

Just getting that out of the way.

Literally just saw this right now and... HOLY CRAP!!!

The cast, the action, the director... I think I would walk on bare feet across a football field of broken glass to see this right now!

People keep mentioning Taken, but this is more similar to Law Abiding Citizen, or Collateral Damage IMO.

Seeing this trailer makes re realize how much I miss Jackie Chan movies.

I feel like watching Rush Hour tonight

Jackie is a monster. This was a great move, career wise. I can't wait to see more.

It's interesting to see a well known performer get to stretch but also still give us something of what they are well known for.

In the 80's Chan attempted a break into Hollywood films that didn't pan out. He's said that they wanted him to be a more stoic bad ass type but of course we all know now Jackie has the soul of Charlie Chaplin so that was square peg in round hole territory.

Now with all his accumulated experience as a lead in so many films I think tackling this kind of film is right up his alley and he seems to realky be bringing it with this film.

Also... Has Brosnan ever given (singing in MAMA MIA aside) a bad performance? He's also at the right age to play this kind of part.

Add in Campbell, the man who brought Bond back twice and it's quite the mix. A down and dirty action thriller which Campbell excels at.

does any one got any info on shai dawn? i hadn't heard any news expect its souped to take place in egypt!! but that was several years ago!! i also heard that jackie chan is going to make rush hour 4 & that its going to be darker & gritter!!

Just saw the trailer, looks really promising.

When the movie director is credited on the poster for a movie that is a decade old or more, I start to worry about what the movie will be like.
To be fair, aside from Green Lantern, which being so CGI-dependent was obviously not a good fit for him, he's only directed one movie since then, and Edge of Darkness wasn't even a bad movie. It just didn't make a splash. So it's not like they're covering up a string of duds like they do with, say, Antoine Fuqua or David Ayer when they still use Training Day as the go-to credit for both. Martin Campbell's a good director, particularly when it comes to stunt-heavy films, imo.

This is getting pretty good reviews. Looking forward to seeing it Friday

I thought about seeing this in the theater but I'll probably wait for it on TV.

I don't like what the critics are saying about it. Looking forward to hearing what regular movie goers say about it. Right now my plan is to have a double-feature day in November, seeing this and Ragnarok back to back.
