James Franco Aquires the Rights to "The Disaster Artist"

I know he's polarizing amongst fanboys, but I always respect the risks he takes when he does **** outside of just straight Apatow comedy.

Hahahaha that's great!

One of these days I'm going to have to sit down and watch The Room in its entirety. Have to stock up on booze first...

Drunk watching isn't always the best, I'd suggest a water pipe and about 12 grams of sticky. You'll be quoting it for years

At first I thought Franco was just doing his own voice, but then once he got to delivering the actual dialogue...

This has to be one of the most niche films in recent history. A biopic about a cult classic B movie.

Ok that was a great teaser. :funny:

I'm glad Franco isn't doing the full-on accent impersonation tbh. I think he's doing just the right amount in that clip.

EDIT: unfortunately the trailer contains some mild cursing so it can't be posted here guys.

Don't be mad, fat man. :oldrazz:

This will get a best adapted screenplay nod.

Who's mad? I'm just pointing out something I found interesting.

I just hope the movie isn't too mean. Part of the fun of the Room is Tommy Wiseau isn't a self important blowhard like Uwe Boll.

This looks awesome! My friends and I are going to have a drink and see this together *

*please drink responsibly

Having had to deal with the man in person on multiple occasions for my job, I'm gonna have to beg to differ there. We've hosted screenings and Q&A's with all sorts of A-listers and political types, yet Tommy Wiseau's been the most self-important blowhard of them all. Greg Sestero on the other hand has never been anything but an absolute sweetheart.

I don't know if he thinks he's a "genius" per say, but he definitely thinks he's hot ****.

I can't believe the first place I saw The Room was on Adult Swim. They played it on repeat. It was either April Fool's or New Year's. I can't remember which.
