What are everyone's thoughts? I thought it to be grossly inappropriate to say the least...

Well obviously Bush lied. But if Jay thinks Obama won't, he's being pretty naive.

Then why not say Bush's lies? Why "White lies?" Do all white men lie? Is Bush our herald who speaks for us?

It's hard to say. Did the cheering people at the Palin rallies really believe Obama to be a terrorist sympathizer, or a Muslim in disguise. Maybe some, but I doubt all. It's not difficult to whip people into a frenzy.

Only in the mind of a racist. I think most sensible people realize that both blacks and whites are capable of being evil or good. There are bound to be racists on both sides of the aisle, which is why it's best to just dismiss them as the ignorant people they are.

Well I'm African-American and I'll give my opinion.

To the Af-Am that grew up in the ghettos, most prevalent in New York, Jersey, California and what not to them it is "white lies" so to speak. They appreciate Jay-Z because he knows the struggle they go through daily and he reflects that in his music.

Not that I stand by everything Jay-Z says, I think he's an amazing artist, but I can see where he's coming from.

I think he's sympathetic to some of the opinions, but he has to go out with a bang and the hysterical hype to keep his street cred going. That's why a rich guy like him wears Che Guevera shirts....you think this guy's a socialist...blah...

All I have to say is....I did not watch the video, I'm assuming it either is the "My President Is Black" rap, or one like it....so with that said....

I do not believe for ONE MINUTE, that Obama holds even a glimmer of these ideas put out there by Jay Z. That is all I need to know....

It seems to me that Jay Z conveniently forgets that the President is more than just a black man, that he's half white. I guess he only sees skin color and that's the most important thing.
