I read this and for some reason instantly thought of Alfred from Batman Year One. I like this. Man the casting in this film, pretty much impossible to predict!

Now this is great casting. Arguably the best actor to have ever portrayed Alfred, and a true Brit through and through. He will definitely give off the SAS Military vibe, and certainly has the chops to pull off being a mentor towards Affleck.

Much like Gary Oldman, it gives Irons a chance to play someone good for a change. Like Oldman, he's a fantastic bad guy, but Oldman did such a great job as Gordon in the Christopher Nolan Batman films.
